Qualification and Employment Unit

The Rehabilitation and Employment Unit was established at the College of Education for Human Sciences in cooperation with the Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Division at the University Presidency to take care of graduate students, find effective solutions for them, and change the course of their ideas and orientations in searching for a job in the governmental and private sectors.

Vision:

The unit aspires to qualify graduate students and develop their personal and scientific skills to engage in the labor market.

The Message:

Contributing to the development and qualification of graduates’ skills in line with the requirements of private sector companies, thus reducing unemployment rates and integrating education outputs into the labor market.

Tasks and duties of the unit:

  • Prepare and implement quarterly and annual plans for exhibitions, seminars, graduate forums and design day and send them to the division.
  • Preparing and implementing quarterly and annual plans for courses and workshops for rehabilitation and employment (students and graduates) at the college and sending them to the Rehabilitation and Employment Division at the University Presidency for approval, with an emphasis on holding rehabilitation workshops at one workshop per month as a basic workshop.
  • Coordinating with the college’s departments to prepare and categorize a database on students and graduates.
  • Preparing a semi-annual report that includes the courses held and their conformity with the set plan and indicating the completion rates.
  • Opening the horizons of joint cooperation with reputable private sector companies and institutions and building a database for them in cooperation with the Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Division at the University Presidency.
  • Preparing training programs for students and graduates (continuous training) in coordination with the relevant authorities (public and private sector institutions).
  • Coordinating with the Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Division in the field of marketing graduates and preparing semi-annual statistics on the number of graduates who have been marketed in governmental institutions and the private sector.
  • Prepare an accurate and comprehensive database on graduates and students who have been trained, provided that the required data is coordinated with the Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Division at the University Presidency.
    -Collaborating with the relevant departments and authorities in the college to prepare a study on the extent to which the curricula and admission plans match the needs of the labor market.
