Human Rights Unit – College of Education for Human Sciences

Vision:

  1. The Human Rights Unit focuses on a society where human dignity, freedom, and fundamental rights are respected, and everyone enjoys equal opportunities in life.
  2. The unit aspires to a world free from discrimination, violence, and oppression, where individuals live with dignity and peace.
  3. Achieving equality and social justice for all, regardless of race, gender, religion, or any other status.
  4. Promoting tolerance, peaceful coexistence, and acceptance of others.
  5. Belief that human rights are a national constant.

Mission:

  1. Raising awareness of human rights and educating individuals and communities about their importance and the necessity of respecting them.
  2. Working to achieve equality and social justice and combating all forms of discrimination and violence.
  3. Empowering individuals and communities to claim their rights and actively participate in building their societies.
  4. Monitoring human rights conditions, providing legal assistance to those in need, and taking necessary actions to address violations.
  5. Cooperating with relevant governmental and non-governmental bodies to promote and protect human rights.
  6. Defending human rights through academic and civil means.

Objectives:

  1. Promoting a culture of human rights.
  2. Supporting values of tolerance and citizenship.
  3. Raising awareness among students and faculty members.
  4. Striving to resolve conflicts through peaceful means.
