The College of Education for Humanities at Al-Hamdaniya University was established in 2023, following the division of the College of Education into the College of Education for Pure Sciences and the College of Education for Humanities, in accordance with Ministerial Order No. (T M3/T/2860 dated 30/4/2023), effective for the academic year 2023/2024. This achievement was made possible through the distinguished efforts of the esteemed University President, Professor Dr. Aqeel Yahya Al-Araji.
The College represents a significant academic addition to Al-Hamdaniya University, built upon sound scientific foundations in teaching and research at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. This foundation relies on the solid academic expertise of the College’s faculty and on the ongoing scientific, administrative, and pedagogical oversight by the College Dean, aiming to graduate specialized scientific cadres in diverse fields such as History, Educational and Psychological Sciences, Arabic Language, and English Language.
The College aspires to achieve a prestigious position and a high academic reputation in the fields of education and research among humanities-focused colleges in Iraq. This is accomplished by providing a supportive learning environment that fosters competition, creativity, and innovation among students across all disciplines, and by adhering to rigorous academic standards in curricula, infrastructure, laboratories, and faculty qualifications.
Regarding the Office of the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and Graduate Studies, it comprises several divisions and units, including:
