Head of Department Message

Since its establishment in 2011, the department has sought to develop students’ scientific and cultural capabilities by providing them with various types of knowledge, particularly those related to their field of specialization: the history of Iraq, the Arab countries, and the world, spanning various historical eras: ancient, Islamic, modern, and contemporary. This focus is on studying the history of Iraq throughout the ages, as well as the countries geographically neighboring Iraq.
