Department Vision

Arabic is a global language that occupies a prominent position among the world’s languages, as it expresses diverse cultures deeply rooted in human history and civilization. It is the mother of scientific, literary, and philosophical heritage, and a breeding ground for openness to modern approaches, visions, and sciences in the fields of literature, criticism, and linguistics.

Department Mission

To disseminate sound linguistic and literary knowledge, within a modern educational environment, in order to prepare a specialized educational cadre in the systematic studies of Arabic language sciences, literature, and criticism. This is achieved by equipping them with the necessary skills to apply this knowledge in the fields of scientific research and educational work. This is achieved by developing awareness of the importance of Arab cultural heritage and human acculturation, and by instilling the values ​​of citizenship, humanity, and coexistence.

• To raise the level of academic knowledge in the fields of scientific research and teaching.
• To achieve the highest quality standards in teaching Arabic language and literature to students.
