Head of Department’s Speech
The Department of Arabic Language was established with the founding of the Al-Hamdaniya College of Education in 2011, following the Qaraqosh student bus bombing. It began as a small, young bud, but soon grew into a young tree, its roots deeply embedded in the Iraqi soil. The Department of Arabic Language now attracts students from all Iraqi governorates—from north to south. The Department of Arabic Language did not stop there, but rather worked diligently with its teaching and administrative staff to develop and modernize education at the University of Al-Hamdaniya. The department opened postgraduate studies in its two branches (Language and Literature) in 2020. The department continues to pursue its national, scientific, and historical mission, which aims to spread knowledge and science throughout Iraq, first, and to elevate the status of the University of Al-Hamdaniya, second. Finally, educational institutions cannot thrive unless their foundations are based on sound and solid scientific foundations. This requires a clear scientific vision, a distinct educational mission, and clear objectives. Valuable education.
