Rehabilitation and Employment Unit

College of Education for Humanities

The Rehabilitation and Employment Unit was established at the College of Education for Humanities in cooperation with the Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Division at the University Presidency. The Unit aims to support graduates by providing effective solutions and reshaping their perspectives and approaches toward seeking employment opportunities in both the public and private sectors.

Organizational Structure

The Unit is administratively affiliated with the Office of the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs.

Vision

The Unit aspires to qualify graduates and develop their personal and academic competencies to enable their effective integration into the labor market.

Mission

To contribute to the development and enhancement of graduates’ skills in alignment with the requirements of private sector companies, thereby reducing unemployment rates and integrating educational outcomes with labor market needs.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Unit

  • Preparing and implementing semester and annual plans for exhibitions, seminars, graduate forums, and Design Day activities, and submitting them to the Division.

  • Preparing and implementing semester and annual plans for training courses and workshops related to the rehabilitation and employment of students and graduates within the College, and submitting them to the Rehabilitation and Employment Division at the University Presidency for approval, with emphasis on conducting at least one core rehabilitation workshop per month.

  • Coordinating with the College departments to prepare and classify a database of students and graduates.

  • Preparing a semi-annual report detailing the courses conducted, their alignment with the established plan, and the percentage of completion.

  • Expanding prospects for joint cooperation with reputable private sector companies and institutions, and establishing a dedicated database in collaboration with the Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Division at the University Presidency.

  • Developing training programs for students and graduates (continuing training) in coordination with relevant public and private sector institutions.

  • Coordinating with the Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Division in marketing graduates and preparing a semi-annual statistical report on the number of graduates employed in public institutions and the private sector.

  • Establishing a comprehensive and accurate database of graduates and students who have received training, in coordination with the Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Division at the University Presidency regarding required data.

  • Cooperating with relevant departments and entities within the College to conduct studies assessing the alignment of curricula and admission plans with labor market needs.
